What is Move Up Sunday?
Move Up Sunday is the day that we will officially celebrate the start of a new school year and our big transition to 5 classrooms and kids moving up! Even if not every kid moves to a new classroom this August, we still believe in celebrating milestones in each other’s lives.
Celebrating is a beautiful and biblical rhythm we get to partake in. We want to celebrate big things and even small things in the life of Mission Kids.
Are you not sure how to "celebrate" things in another kid's life?
Maybe your'e in a C-Group and:
A kid loses their first tooth, celebrate!!!
“God made our bodies in such an incredible way to loose teeth to make room for our adult teeth
to eat yummy food!”
Maybe you have a kid volunteer to read the bible passage Sunday morning in Mission Kids:
A kid learns to read after having some difficulties in that area,
celebrate! “God is at work in and through you, He is always growing you!! "
When we celebrate we also give glory to God! He is a God that celebrates! So join us this Sunday as we MOVE UP!
Hannah Glosson serves as our Director of Kids Ministry, overseeing the ministry as a whole, coordinating and supporting our Kids volunteers, and helping create a welcoming, Christ-centered environment for children and families.
Beyond her role in Kids Ministry, Hannah faithfully serves our church in many ways as a valued member of our staff. She and her husband, Billy, our Lead Pastor, are the proud parents of their son, Sammy.
